The GB Lion becomes the third former Warrior to play his trade professionally in Germany, following defensive end Laurynas Orlovicius’ 2018 campaign with GFL1 side New Yorker Lions and the greatly successful David ‘Betty’ Saul, who over the course of four seasons helped the Potsdam Royals reach promotion to the top tier of the German leagues. Former Hallam receiver and defensive back Henry Soysa also played a season in Germany recently along side Saul in Potsdam.
Hobbs played an integral part in the successes of the Warriors in their dominating 2014/15 campaign. He was accredited an All DC first team recognition for his efforts along side fellow safety Zack Runzo.
The Hurricanes are once again to be competing in the GLF2, after finishing as runners up in the 2018 season.
